Senior Technician - 1029 Hot Tomato

1029 Hot Tomato is looking for a full-time Senior Technician with broadcast engineering skills and experience.

The role is based at Southport and involves regular scheduled and on-call support for 1029 Hot Tomato's sister station, River 949 in Ipswich.

Working with the Engineering Manager (Gold Coast) the successful applicant will provide day-to-day maintenance, installation, repair and support of studio, transmitter and IT broadcast systems infrastructure for both locations.

You will also facilitate Outside Broadcasts and special events as well as play a role in the planning and implementation of infrastructure and process improvements.  Occasional general IT duties will be undertaken and some annual leave relief work at other Grant Broadcasters stations may also see you on a tour of duty.

Great communication skills, attention to detail and safety, composure under pressure and the ability to manage time and competing priorities are critical qualities needed.

The role will require after-hours flexibility and a current open driver's license.

The attractive remuneration package on offer recognises the importance of the role across both stations, and the shared 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
