Ballarat’s POWER FM has announced a brand-new Breakfast show for 2021.
Current Power FM day announcer Josh Arthur is teaming up with Maddie Jarosz, who has just moved from Magic 93.1 Riverland S.A. Maddie replaces Julia ‘Jules’ Zass, who is currently on maternity leave, and has just given birth to a bouncing baby girl. Josh replaces Kris Kroemer who is heading off to launch his own local coffee business.
Content Director for Power FM and 3BA, David Dalkin, said “this is the first time in 10 years that Power FM has announced a totally new line up to the locally based breakfast team, so everyone is very excited! We pride ourselves on being the "leaders in local", which means Josh and Maddie will be involved in the community in a big way. If it's happening in Ballarat it will be on their show."
Josh said, “I won’t have time to do my hot yoga in the mornings now, so I hope Maddie doesn’t mind me turning the heat on in the studio, while I downward-dog my way through the news updates.”
According to Maddie “the South Australian summer has not prepared me for a Ballarat winter. But as I hail from Canberra, I still have a suitcase full of jumpers handy. I also have learned the ability to ‘fake it ‘til you make it’ and talk rubbish like politicians do.”
And Radio Ballarat's General Manager, John Fitzgibbon, said "Josh is one of the great emerging talents which Grant Broadcasters continues to unearth, and we are pleased to pair him up with Maddie who has progressed through the Grant Broadcasters network, to be promoted to a provincial breakfast show."
Power FM’s all-new Brekky Show with Josh & Maddie kicks off on Monday 15 February 2021.
