Harry & Dana’s Hunter Valley Bucket List

98.1 Power FM Breakfast Show, Harry & Dana, embarked on creating the ultimate to-do list of the Hunter Valley, taking suggestions from local listeners and ticking them off together.

From making olive oil at Pukara Estate, cooking at The Cottage in Scone and getting behind the joystick of a Hunter Valley scenic flight, the campaign not only ensured the Breakfast Show got to explore and experience the broadcast region themselves, but helped create a buzz around local businesses who were doing it tough due to COVID-19.

Face Of The Farmers

2NM newsreader and Power FM announcer, Jessica Rouse, took the time to visit farming families across the Upper Hunter who were struggling in the devastating drought.

A video series was released on social media to show listeners the real faces of the region and to raise awareness around the tangible impact the drought continues to have on local farmers both mentally and emotionally.

The series had 28.5K followers on Facebook.

Vinnies Community Sleep Out

Harry & Dana braved a cold night under the stars at the Vinnies Community Sleepout tonight to raise funds and awareness for Homelessness in the Hunter.

Daily Local News Headlines

A key player in local, newsreader Jessica Rouse has been keeping listeners informed with daily videos detailing the biggest and most relevant news stories of the day.

From braving the freezing cold on the main street of Muswellbrook, to hitting the pre-poll election booths for the Upper Hunter bi-election, Jessica ensures she’s not just reading the headlines from the news booth but from the places that listeners are living and breathing.

Power FM School Breakfasts

One thing that the Power FM team does exceptionally well is getting out and amongst the local community, and their School Breakfast Broadcasts are no exception.

Local schools can register for the chance to have Harry & Dana visit their school grounds to not only do the show live but also cook up a free breakfast!
