Today in our 'Leaders in Local' series, we visit RIVER 1467 Mildura, broadcasting across the stunning Sunraysia region in Victoria.
Here are just some of the things the happy RIVER 1467 team has been up to in the local community:
Pay it Forward
RIVER 1467 sent some coffee love during the lockdown.
They started with buying coffee for Chemist Warehouse Langtree, who bought it forward, and so the chain of goodwill grew! It had a tremendous response from the community.
RIVER 1467's Friendliest Street
Sunraysia is a friendly place; it's a place where you know your neighbours, and RIVER 1467 were on a mission to find the friendliest street.
So what is Sunraysia's Friendliest Street? It's Begg Court, Red Cliffs!
RIVER 1467 will be throwing them a street party as soon as it's safe to do so.
$50K Fat Duck
RIVER 1467s $50K Fat Duck returns!
One lucky entrant is guaranteed $1000 and gets the chance to pick a duck at our broadcast at Chemist Warehouse in October. If our winner picks the Fat Duck, they'll win $50,000!
People will be able to enter via various stores around Mildura.
Sunraysia Residential Services Broadcast
RIVER 1467 enjoys nothing more than an OB (outside broadcast) for a good cause.
The team at SRS (Sunraysia Residential Services) completed building four purpose-built units for people with disabilities.
We were proud to be at the opening to see all the hard work put into building these specialised apartments and for the local community to walk through.
Penrite Hattah Desert Race
In July, the Penrite Hattah Desert Race brought plenty of visitors to the area, and the locals love it. It was cancelled due to COVID-19 last year, so it was great to see it back on again.
Supercars driver David Reynolds caught up with RIVER 1467's Damion Bradshaw, broadcasting live from the event.
Mildura Field Days
RIVER 1467 were live on both days of the Mildura Field Days.
Jason Hayes interviewed some tremendous local businesses, plus even found time for some camp oven cooking and whip cracking.
